BIOTIE THERAPIES CORP. STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 8 DECEMBER 2009 at 9.40 a.m.
Notification according to Chapter 2, Section 10 of the Finnish Securities Market Act
Invesco Limited has through Invesco Fund Managers Limited subscribed the 14,432,000 shares offered in the directed share issue of Biotie Therapies Corp. (the "Company" or "Biotie"). Invesco's ownership in the Company will exceed 1/20 (i.e. 5 %) of the total number of shares and votes in the Company upon the new shares becoming registered on or about 14 December 2009. Details of the share issue have been disclosed by the Company through stock exchange releases on 4 December 2009 and 7 December 2009.
The change in holdings in accordance with Chapter 2, Section 9 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act is described below.

The registered number of shares in Biotie is 144,320,560 and the number of voting rights attached to the shares amounts to 143,857,305. After the new shares issued in the share issue shall be registered with the Trade Register on or about 14 December 2009, the number of shares in the Company shall be 158,752,560 and the number of votes 158,289,305.
